*warning: full of useless ranting ahead*

So far, this is the best komikon evuuuuuuur.XD

Why? Well, because of:

I arrived early. I’m super early that I have to wait for megamall to open its doors for me—I mean, us. Lol (but I woke up late, thank goodness there’s no traffic, it just took Chin and i an hour and 45 minutes travel time from laguna to megamall hehe)

i got a new hat. HEHE (but it cost me a few hundred bucks. bleargh)

I got moar indies… and freebies! Hurrah. I got to ask for a new plastic bag because my first paper bag (with local actors and actresses design—which maiko thinks—I do too—and the others as cheap; but c’mon guys, it’s a recycled paper bag. Bleargh.) reached its point of rupture as it was filled by comics + miscellaneous things. Thank you PEPPERMINT for giving me a free big even though I just barged in on your boutique. lol

i didn’t expect to watch giniling festival! I was like oh boy I was happy. extremely HAPPY I was about to cry—I kid, I kid. But I was happy. *widesmile*

I made lotsa memories I didn’t make last 3 komikon events I’ve attended to.

MY ALBUM

I saw and met people (because of comics) worthy of admiration and inspiration. (weee) And I shall list them all. HAHAHA.XD

I met up with an extremely entertaining company, without them I couldn’t/wouldn’t enjoy the event after all. (uber cheeeesy, lol) we talked to a few people (even by accident, someone even did me/us a favor), we ate and we… walked to our hearts’ content. Hehe

this is my first visit to mega after like months of being unable to go beyond the boundaries of laguna. This is one of the (few) times I didn’t care on spending too much. I took a splurge on buying things, it took me more than thousands of bucks—hey, more than a thousand is many—okay, kasama na pamasahe dun + good times, lol. So I shall go poor mode once again. HAHA. Now when can I buy new equipments with this attitude? Bleargh.

Before anything else, these are the things I bought and people I met:


Sir ’s A simple story about moving on: Goodbye Rubbit AND What does it take to have a common ground?: Porkypine Rood. (oh good sir, you forgot to sign my copy. T^T)

I didn’t know his creations until one guy wearing a barong tagalog with eyes covered with a cloth of blue and red (Manila man~!) showed this indie to me and itey and he let us read it. The characters are so cute. Nanggigigil ako, ang sarap sigurong stuff toy yung mga characters. XD I wish I can make something as cute as that. D: the story is so simple yet it has a deeper meaning. haha. You’ll instantly get the “awww” feel plus.. they’re really cute, that’s why it aint cheesy.

I finally saw the both of you personally~! *cries of extreme joy* si ma’m cornelia pala ay author ng isang local romance pocketbook, I didn’t know.XD moving on… ima fan of CT and I hate too much spoilers when it comes to something I’m really looking forward to; I won’t ruin everything for you, so buy your own copy! (Airee got a new hairstyle~!) HAHA.XD

Because I really want to buy it last time but due to budgetary constraints, I can’t. I only got masters and to sign my copy.D: will hunt the other artists of fresh soon.--- I didn’t know sir also shared his creation here~!

Okay, I was really laughing my head off with baklang engkanto and the faces chosen by each kikiam. Congrats (ulit) don david, apir.XD

Hahaha. It’s sooo cute plus it got a mirror on the other side.XD didn’t waste time and just bought it.XD

I also got freebie manga from Batis- YOGHI (Youth Organization Gives Hope and Inspiration).XD

I haven’t seen other works like Green Reaper and Salted. *blinded by other stuff. D: Will look thoroughly next time (with conviction)*

and didn’t plan to meet at komikon. We didn’t even talked about it, not until that day (he didn’t even know the exact place of event, haha). I guess it’s going to be an annual event (I really hope) for us, even itey, , chin and ~crushandcrumpled too.

my first time to attend was on 2007, and it ain't fun because I did go alone (LOSEEEER) because my teammate’s agenda was to shoot at diliman’s range, leaving me alone at the event. Eventually after being bored, I left the event and found myself at the range too.

The second time, I was a volunteer for with itey, zuyene and krisha then we met up with ~bottleofpiss.

The third (is not counted really since it’s the first summer komikon) was fun, saw the same people and met new ones. I didn’t fully enjoy it because I have to go somewhere (far, far away, haha), plus I arrived late and unable to purchase the indies I wanted.D:

convention at world trade center as one of the volunteers---on both days (oh money, where art thou?).
